This is just to get to know my new camera a Nikon D90. I am endeavouring to challenge myself in adding one photo daily for the rest of the year.
I do live in an interesting part of Africa, Tete, Mozambique where lots is going on and happening. Enjoy

CHIPS, the most popular takeaways in Tete city. The most wonderful red potatoes are grown on the highlands of the Mozambique/Malawi border only an hour from Tete, and they seem to be the staple food here as mealie-meal(sadza) is in Zimbabwe......

The one-kilometre-long Tete Suspension Bridge, finished in 1973 by the Portuguese and designed by Edgar Cardoso, and then repaired once again in 2010/2011, is a vital link on the major highway linking not just the northern and southern parts of the country, but Zimbabwe and Malawi as well. This bridge, the rail Dona Ana Bridge, and the bridge at Caia are the only bridges across the lower Zambezi. Find out more about Tete (where I live) in the link below .....

May your weekend be filled with endless opportunities to create and love and move on purpose. May you hope anyway, rest anyway, and laugh about it, too. If you are fighting a battle that you don’t think you can win, may the wounds heal quickly and your friends stand strong. If you are celebrating a victory you never thought would come, may you be thankful, humble, and filled up with peace. Enjoy your weekend, friends. from..... http://www.chattingatthesky.com/

the dugouts I seem to be finding on the shores of the lake and the Zambezi River, seem to be more and more "patched". It must be due to all the gorgeous hardwoods being either shipped to China or made into charcoal...... :(
