Trekked up the Rovumbwe river yesterday trying to find a waterfall. What fun was had. As always in Africa, you are never alone........this little group followed us there and back, helping us to avoid the dreaded stinging buffalo bean......... :)

This African Star Chesnut tree fascinates me........the plum seems to be peeling and now the lime green is showing more. Had a bit of fun with photoshop tools and used " accentuated edges". Would make a great abstract painting.......

my gorgeous whistlers were very much alive and well when I returned.........and their colours have become even more intense...... :)

so sad to see all the deforesting and burning around us..........yet with the golden glow of a gorgeous lowvled sunset as a backdrop, it instantly becomes a "wow" !!

amazing how your eye is drawn to a spot of colour in the midst of the dry, grey surrounds........I guess much like how we ought to be .........bringing that spot of joyful colour to the 'greyness' surrounding us :)

back to a ¨very dusty¨Tete......Found my pantry bare so had to rush on down to my smiling and helpful ¨green grocer¨. What a huge contrast to the Marks and Spencers I shopped at a few days ago......

had a fabulous stay in the UK............just loved the "green".........efficiency........fast internet:)..........old beauty lovingly restored........meeting up with "old" friends..........long delightful evenings...........walks around Oxford...........spending fun times with Jul's.

I will certainly miss the many colourful, quaint little shops of Oxford..............

Radcliffe Camera.........(camera being the medieval name for a room) built between 1737 and 1749, it is England's earliest example of a round reading room. It is still used as the Bodleian Library, with its underground store housing 600,000 books.......

a very popular holiday in summer is taking these Narrow boats around the canals and waterways around Oxfordshire...........

had such a wonderful evening celebrating Jul's birthday at a lovely pub on the river close to the remains of Godstow Nunnery...........I just adore these looooong evenings :)
